The cast of characters of Sunrider Academy carry the same personalities from the other games from the Sunrider franchise so if you’re a fan, you can expect Asaga to be as bubbly as ever and Ava to have the same stern demeanor. At the same time, you must also manage your duties as a school student and keep up with homework, exams, and finding a girlfriend before the end of the year otherwise it’s BAD END.įirst of all, you DO NOT need to play Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius first but I highly recommend you do because one, it’s an excellent game, two, it will provide some nice background to the characters and setting, and three, it’s FREEEEE. You play as Kayto Shields, Vice-President of the student council, and are tasked with making sure the three “trouble school clubs” are whipped into shape. Made by the same developer that made the excellent Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius, Sunrider Academy takes those memorable characters and transplants them into a standard Japanese style school setting as a dating sim/time management/visual novel game. Now with the most important part out of the way, on to the other stuff. The Steam release is CENSORED but you can easily install the official restoration patch from the Sunrider website to view the girls in all their naked glory the way God intended. Surrounded by girls lacking any common sense, his wacky days at Sunrider Academy begin! You will take control of Kayto as he carefully manages both his student life, and his responsibilities as club manager. “I’m appointing you to take charge and fix them up by the end of the year!” Add to that another completely unreasonable bet with his little sister that he’ll get a girlfriend by the end of the year, and Kayto’s school life already seems hectic! But that’s not even the worst of it! Kayto soon learns that the captains of each of the clubs he’s supposed to manage have serious issues of their own. ![]() “These clubs cause nothing but trouble,” she said. It was only his first day as the vice president of the Sunrider Academy student council when the unreasonable class president appointed him to be the school club manager. ![]() You know I’m not the only one who is frustrated. Garmin folks, you have to get it together… Please. The 4.2.2 version was completely unstable on the new iMac, so after a web search I found out there had been several updates since 4.2.2. Both programs support data exchange - waypoints, routes, travelled paths (tracks), maps etc. Ironically, I did not receive any notice on the earlier version of BC (4.2.2) that an update was available, even after selecting Check for Updates. Seems to have become a bit more stable now, however I have not tried to connect a Garmin device and upload routes. Within the first 15 minutes of use BC crashed four times. But, BaseCamp is still about as slow as it was on my ten year old iMac. (BTW, I spent 30 years as a product manager responsible for complex medical imaging devices, so I do feel I have a sense of what makes a decient UI.) I just updated from a ten year old iMac to a new iMac 4.2 GHz i7, 32 GB RAM, 3TB Fusion Drive - very fast machine. I keep hoping Garmin will do an overhaul of this aged, unintuitive, overly complicated and frustrating application, but I am disappointed with each new release/update. I have been using Garmin devices for many years - BaseCamp for the past 10 years. To start the process of loading maps, follow the instructions provided for your operating system. Its free, so play with it and decide what you prefer using it for. BaseCamp will launch MapInstall to load maps. If you have a Garmin handheld, youll need to use Basecamp for some things. Load Detailed Maps to a Device Using BaseCamp. Support at one time came back to me with a "fix" to do a backup, uninstall & re-install (first problem report was I coud not do a backup!). Also support admitted thay don't have a mac! The development staff does obviously and apparently tried to "duplicate my problem", but never really answered my questions like if they had started at 4.8.7 and then did an update - I think only working with a fresh install (which would lose my data). Basically said that SW develpment could not tell me what their install routine does inside the OS so I could get files from a Time machine backup to revert to the old version and save my data. Support was responsive but unwilling to do anything about it to research a work around to save my data. The program now fails to export files to an internal volume, even to backup your library. Happy New Year and above all Safe Rides always. Many people don't like Basecamp, but I have never found an alternative for computer based routing that have the database capabilities, and recently I have been looking hard. Now that I can get the route indication flowing on roads and not doing the flying crow imitation, I need to move on to how to save a route once I create one and then insert it into the Zumo itself. Higher standards were established for fire stations, hospitals, and schools, and construction of dwellings was also restricted near active faults. In both cases, the perception of California policy makers changed, and state laws and building codes were modified (with much debate) to require commercial and residential properties to be built to withstand earthquakes. Some decades later, the San Fernando earthquake affected the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles with heavy damage to several hospitals. In 1933, the Long Beach earthquake occurred in a populated area and damaged or destroyed many public school buildings in Long Beach and Los Angeles. Įarly developments at the Caltech lab included an earthquake observation network using their own custom-built short-period seismometers, the Richter magnitude scale, and the Modified Mercalli intensity scale (an updated version of the Mercalli intensity scale). ![]() The outlook improved when Professor Andrew Lawson brought the state's first monitoring program online at the University of California, Berkeley in 1910 with seismologist Harry Wood, who was later instrumental in getting the Caltech Seismological Laboratory in Pasadena operational in the 1920s. The United States Weather Bureau did record when they happened and several United States Geological Survey scientists had briefly disengaged from their regular duties of mapping mineral resources to write reports on the New Madrid and Charleston events, but no trained geologists were working on the problem until after 1906 when the Coast and Geodetic Survey was made responsible. Prior to that, no agency was specifically focused on researching earthquake activity. Īccording to seismologist Charles Richter, the 1906 San Francisco earthquake moved the United States Government into acknowledging the problem. Following destructive earthquakes in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, real estate developers, press, and boosters minimized and downplayed the risk of earthquakes out of fear that the ongoing economic boom would be negatively affected. By this time, scientists were well aware of the threat, but seismology was still in its infancy. While the 1812 San Juan Capistrano, 1857 Fort Tejon, and 1872 Owens Valley shocks were in mostly unpopulated areas and only moderately destructive, the 1868 Hayward event affected the thriving financial hub of the San Francisco Bay Area, with damage from Santa Rosa in the north to Santa Cruz in the south. Since the three damaging earthquakes that occurred in the American Midwest and the East Coast ( 1755 Cape Ann, 1811–12 New Madrid, 1886 Charleston) were well known, it became apparent to settlers that the earthquake hazard was different in California. From 1850–2004, there was about one potentially damaging event per year on average, though many of these did not cause serious consequences or loss of life. ![]() After the missions were secularized in 1834, records were sparse until the California Gold Rush in the 1840s. As Spanish missions were constructed beginning in the late 18th century, earthquakes records were kept. Ship captains and other explorers also documented earthquakes. The earliest known California earthquake was documented in 1769 by the Spanish explorers and Catholic missionaries of the Portolá expedition as they traveled northward from San Diego along the Santa Ana River near the present site of Los Angeles. 7/13/2023 0 Comments Scansion exercisesTwo unstressed syllables followed by a stressed syllable.
